Mangaluru : Six cops suspended for dereliction of duty

Mangaluru, Jan 06, 2022: City Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar has informed that a total of six police  officers have been suspended for dereliction of duty in two cases.

 

In one case,  Pandeshwar Women’s Police Station SI Rosamma has been suspended for alleged negligence in inquiry into a POCSO case wherein a minor girl is the victim.

In another case, two assistant sub-inspectors, two head constables and a constable have been suspended for consuming alcohol in the police station.

On a viral video wherein cops are seen dancing in the women’s police station, the Commissioner said the suspension has nothing to do with the video and the  particular video was taken during Dasara when policemen were enjoying themselves.
