Mangaluru: Sisters meet watery grave in Surathkal beach

Mangaluru, April 10, 2022: In a tragic incident, two sisters who went to take a dip in the sea drowned after drifting into deeper waters in NITK Beach on Sunday morning.

The deceased have been identified as Vaishnavi (21) and Trisha (17). It is said that the teenagers along with 15 other members had come to the beach to perform the Shraddh ritual.

Though the two were rescued and rushed to a hospital, doctors declared them dead.
