Mangaluru: Safety supervisor of NH works alleges assault by traffic cop

Mangaluru, May 9, 2025: Sachin Shukla, a safety supervisor of Udupi Tollway Private Ltd, the contracting agency undertaking the NH 66 works between Adamkudru near Thokkottu, has alleged that he has been assaulted by an inspector of Mangaluru South Traffic Police Station.

The safety supervisor alleged that inspector Krishna Ananda assaulted him with a baton  at around 8 pm on Thursday and objected to the late night work.

The contracting agency has planned to bring up the matter with the higher authorities and has said it was undertaking works at night to complete the works on time.
