Mangaluru: SCDCC Bank donates two Scorpio vehicles to city police

Mangaluru, Sep 20, 2025: The South Canara District Central Cooperative  Bank Ltd. (SCDCC Bank) handed over two Scorpio vehicles to the Mangaluru City Police Department in a program held at the bank’s head office in the city.

The keys were formally handed over to the police department by Surendra Babu, Chief General Manager of NABARD Karnataka Regional Office. Speaking on the occasion, he said the bank has been functioning efficiently and serving customers in a people-friendly manner.

Mangaluru Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy, in his address, said vehicles are of utmost importance to the police department as they play a vital role in continuous duty. He assured that the police are committed to ensuring their responsibilities are carried out without causing inconvenience to the public.

The program was presided over by Dr. M.N. Rajendra Kumar, President of SCDCC Bank, who remarked that the bank, being the pride of Dakshina Kannada, has been performing exceptionally well and maintaining strong ties with the people.

Also present were Vice President Vinay Kumar Sorake, in-charge CEO Gopalakrishna Bhat K, and other dignitaries.
