Mangaluru: Rs 5 lakh compensation cheques distributed to families of wall collapse victims

Mangaluru, Jul 2, 2026: Health Minister U.T. Khader on Wednesday distributed compensation cheques of Rs 5 lakh each to the families of the three people who lost their lives in the tragic retaining wall collapse.


Cheques Distribution

Speaking on the occasion, the minister assured that the Karnataka government will bear the entire cost of treatment for those injured in the incident.

Among those present were Deputy Commissioner Darshan H.V., Zilla Panchayat CEO Vinayak Narvade Karbari, Mangaluru Sub-Divisional Officer Meenakshi Arya, Superintendent of Police Dr Arun, MUDA Chairman Sadashiva Ullal, and other officials.
