Mangaluru Qazi Al-Haj Thwaha Ahmed Musliyar passes away

Mangaluru, Jun 23, 2026: Mangaluru Qazi Al-Haj Thwaha Ahmed Musliyar passed away on Tuesday following a prolonged illness. He had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital, where he breathed his last despite medical efforts.

His mortal remains will be taken from the hospital to Beliyepalli (Zeenath Baksh) Mosque in Mangaluru, where the Janazah bath and funeral prayers will be held.

Thereafter, the body will be taken to his residence in Kasaragod to enable relatives, friends, and well-wishers to pay their final respects. The final rites and burial will take place at Darunnur, Kashipattan, in Moodbidri.

Musliyar is survived by his wife, three sons, two daughters, and a large number of relatives, followers, and admirers. His demise has been widely mourned by members of the community and the public.
