Mangaluru: Pundalik Pai elected President of Patrika Bhavan Trust

Mangaluru, Aug 21, 2025: The annual meeting of the Patrika Bhavan Trust, Mangaluru, was held on Tuesday, August 19, at the Patrika Bhavan.

On the occasion, Pundalik Pai (Annu Managalore) of Mangaluru was unanimously elected as the new President of the Trust for the upcoming term. Ravi Posavanike was chosen as the General Secretary, while Harsha was re-elected as Treasurer.

The meeting was presided over by outgoing President Ramakrishna R., with General Secretary Venu Vinod presenting the annual report and accounts. Treasurer Harsha, along with Trust members K. Anand Shetty, Jagannath Shetty Bal, Pundalik Pai(Annu Mangalore), Ravi Posavanike, and Pupparaj B., were present. DK District Working Journalists’ Association President Srinivas Nayak Indaje and Mangalore Press Club President P. B. Harish Rai also attended.

According to a statement issued by the Trust, financial assistance of Rs 7.47 lakh was extended during the past term towards medical aid for journalists and compensation for bereaved families. In addition, Rs 5 lakh was granted in support of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the DK District Working Journalists’ Association.
