Mangaluru: Prison staff member suspended in ganja supply case

Mangaluru, May 26, 2023: Prakash Gavade, an employee of the district prison in the city, has been suspended from his position following his arrest for his involvement in the distribution of marijuana to the prisoners.

 

As part of their efforts to prevent the smuggling of prohibited items and weapons to prisoners, personnel from the KISF thoroughly search relatives of inmates, officials, and prison staff at the district prison.

During a regular inspection, ganja was discovered in Prakash’s possession, leading to the filing of a case at Barke police station.
