
Mangaluru, August 23, 2026: A 30-member team of Mangaluru police will escort 21 Bangladeshi nationals, who were found illegally residing in and around the city, to Malda in West Bengal on Sunday.
According to Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Sudheer Kumar Reddy C.H., the team comprises 30 police officers and personnel. The Bangladeshi nationals, who were taken to Bengaluru by bus, will travel by train to Malda on August 23.

They will be handed over to Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Malda by August 26 for further legal action and deportation.
The 21 nationals were identified during a police drive conducted across Mangaluru in July. They were found residing illegally in Surathkal, Kodikal and areas under the Urwa police station limits.
Police said the individuals were allegedly using fake Aadhaar cards and other forged documents and were working at construction sites.
