Mangaluru: Police seek public help to trace woman missing since 2018

Mangaluru, Nov 6, 2025: Police have appealed to the public for information regarding Jameela (35), a woman missing since May 25, 2018.

According to police, Jameela, wife of Shekhabb and a resident of Manjanady village in Mangaluru taluk, left home around 4 pm on May 25, 2018, saying she was going to Mangaluru city but never returned. Based on a complaint filed by her brother-in-law Shoukath Ali, a resident of Badyaru in Deralakatte, Ullal taluk, a missing person case has been registered at Konaje Police Station.

 

Jameela is about 35 years old, 5 feet 6 inches tall, wheatish in complexion, and of medium build, with a round face. She has studied up to Class 7 and was last seen wearing a black burqa. She is fluent in Tulu, Kannada, Malayalam, Beary, and Hindi.

Police have requested anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the Mangaluru City Police Control Room at 0824-2220800 or Konaje Police Station at 0824-2220536 / 9480802350. The public is urged to assist in tracing the missing woman.
