Mangaluru Police arrest accused wanted in several cases

Mangaluru, May 23, 2023: City police arrested an accused who had been absconding abroad when he arrived at Mumbai Airport.

 

Nawaz Sharif, a resident near Valachil, Adyar, Mangaluru against whom cases at Mangaluru north police station under registration No. 46/2020 section 143, 147, 323, 504, 427, 307 R/w 149 IPC and under section 27 Arms Act were registered, had gone abroad and was absconding without being present for court hearing during the last one year.

According to police, about a year ago he went to abroad and did not appear before the court. Several warrants were pending against him and a Look Out Circular (LOC) was issued against him, they added.

Based on intel, police arrested Nawaz from Mumbai International Airport upon his arrival from Dubai and produced him to the court.
