In one case, a house at Sahayoga Residency Complex on Alake-Kambla Cross Road was burgled on September 28. The occupants had locked the house and left for the market at around 3 pm. When they returned at around 5.10 pm, they found that the front-door latch had been broken and the house had been burgled.

The burglars allegedly stole gold jewellery worth around ₹14 lakh, along with cash, a wristwatch and a trolley bag. A case was registered at Mangaluru North Police Station under Sections 331(3) and 305 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

During the investigation, a special police team, under the guidance of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Central Sub-Division, gathered information about the suspects’ movements. Police found that the accused had boarded a train towards Delhi after allegedly committing the burglaries.

The Mangaluru police then sought assistance from the Vadodara police in Gujarat. Acting swiftly, the team arrested both accused in Vadodara on September 29, within 24 hours of the cases being registered.

Police recovered the stolen property from the accused, with the total value estimated at around ₹18 lakh.

The accused were brought from Vadodara to Mangaluru and produced before a court. They were initially remanded to judicial custody and were subsequently taken into police custody for further investigation.

Police said Armaan Khan has more than 40 house burglary cases registered against him in various cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Goa and Hyderabad.
