
Mangaluru, Aug 28, 2026: The Yelupatna Mogaveera Samyuktha Sabha (Kadri) organised a community Samudra Pooja(sea worship) ceremony at Thanneerbavi beach in Mangaluru on August 23.
The programme began with bhajana sankeertana followed by a special puja to Goddess Mahalakshmi. Later, milk, fruits and other offerings were made to the sea under the guidance of Rajayogi Nirmalanath Ji Maharaj of Kadri Kadali Yogeshwar Mutt.

Boluru Mogaveera Mahasabha vice-president Ranjan Kanchan and internationally renowned powerlifter Sadananda Amin of Kudroli were the chief guests.
Sabha president Bolara Subhashchandra Kanchan welcomed the guests, village leaders and members from various communities. He said the traditional Samudra Pooja(sea worship) was being conducted at the beginning of the fishing season, as fishermen have been offering milk and fruits to Ganga Mata and performing community sea worship for centuries.
General secretary Yashwanth Boluru proposed the vote of thanks.
Office-bearers Suresh Suvarna of Neereshwalya, Shyamsundar Kanchan of Kudroli, Kadri Kshetra representative Narayana Kotyan of Bokkapatta, village leaders, representatives, members and members of women’s associations were present.
