Mangaluru: Man with 40 cases arrested in two-wheeler theft case

Mangaluru, Aug. 19, 2026: Police have arrested a man in connection with the theft of a two-wheeler that was parked in front of a house at Kodikkal within the jurisdiction of Urwa Police Station in the city.

The accused has been identified as Mohammed Faizal of Ullal.

According to police, a complaint was registered at Urwa Police Station regarding the theft of a Honda Dio scooter (KA-19-EB-2226) that had been parked outside a residence in Kodikkal on July 24.

During the investigation, police examined CCTV footage from the surrounding area, traced the suspect, and identified him. The stolen vehicle was recovered and the accused was arrested on August 18.

Police said the accused is involved in more than 40 cases registered at various police stations in Karnataka and Kerala. He is also wanted under arrest warrants issued by several police stations, including Mangaluru North, Konaje, Ullal, Moodbidri, Bantwal, and Manipal.
