Mangaluru: Man dies after collapsing inside ATM booth near Kadri Temple

Mangaluru, July 9, 2026: A man collapsed and died inside an ATM booth in Kadri, Mangaluru, on Tuesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Balakrishna H. (53), a native of Kanhangad. He had reportedly gone to the ATM to withdraw cash when he suddenly collapsed inside the booth.

During the fall, the ATM’s glass panel shattered and caused injuries to his body. According to Kadri police, the post-mortem report confirmed that he died of a heart attack.

A case has been registered at the Kadri Police Station.

Balakrishna was an employee of the Dakshina Kannada District Central Cooperative Bank (DKDCC Bank).

He is survived by his wife and daughter.
