Mangaluru: Major tragedy averted as city bus mounts divider near Kottara

Mangaluru, Nov 1, 2025: A major mishap was narrowly avoided near Kottara in Mangaluru on Friday, October 31, after a city bus lost control and climbed over the road divider.

Preliminary reports suggest that the incident occurred due to a brake pedal malfunction. However, traffic police officials stated that the driver was speeding and driving recklessly.

The DCP (Traffic) has assured that strict action will be taken against the driver.

Fortunately, all passengers on board escaped without injuries.
