Mangaluru: MUDA chairman inspects long-pending Urwa Store market redevelopment project

Mangaluru, September 10, 2026: Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Chairman Santosh Kumar Shetty conducted a site inspection of the Urwa Store Market as part of efforts to expedite the redevelopment project, which has remained pending for several years.

During the inspection, Shetty reviewed the proposed design of the new market building and the infrastructure requirements. He also held discussions with the MUDA Commissioner and other concerned officials on measures to ensure the effective and speedy implementation of the project.

Local residents brought the need for a well-equipped and modern market to the chairman’s attention and urged the authorities to implement the redevelopment project at the earliest.
