Mangaluru: MLA Vedavyas Kamath flags off KSRTC sleeper bus service to Mantralaya

Mangaluru, Apr 18, 2026: Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath flagged off the KSRTC Pallakki sleeper bus service from Mangaluru to Mantralaya by driving the bus for two kilometres.

KSRTC has introduced four non-AC sleeper buses on this route, and the journey to Mantralaya will now take just 12 hours, bringing the pilgrim town closer to people from Mangaluru.

The buses were inaugurated at the KSRTC bus stand by MLA Vedavyas Kamath. The service will operate via Udupi, Shivamogga, Chitradurga, Ballari, and Adoni before reaching Mantralaya.

The fare is ₹1,500 from Mangaluru, ₹1,450 from Udupi, and ₹1,400 from Kundapur.

The non-AC Pallakki buses are equipped with various passenger-friendly features. Each bus has 30 seats and comes with an advanced vehicle stability control system. Additional facilities include a front dash camera, rear parking camera, internal CCTV cameras, LED lights above seats, panic button, fire safety system, and USB and Type-C mobile charging ports.
