Mangaluru: Lorry rams egg transport vehicle; eggs spill across road, no injuries

Mangaluru, December 9, 2025: An egg transport vehicle overturned after being hit from behind by a lorry near Adyar in the city on Monday.

The incident occurred around 10 a.m. when the vehicle was travelling from Farangipete towards Mangaluru. As it reached near Adyar Sahyadri College, a lorry rammed into it from behind, causing the vehicle to climb onto the road divider and overturn.

Though no casualties were reported, thousands of rupees worth of eggs were damaged as they spilled all over the road. The scattered eggs also disrupted traffic for some time, police said.
