Mangaluru : Life comes to standstill as weekend curfew begins

Mangaluru, April 24, 20121:     Normal life has almost come to a standstill in  Mangaluru and elsewhere in Dakshina Kannada district as the weekend curfew came into force this morning.  Public were allowed to make essential purchases from 6 am to 10 pm when there was some relaxation  in the rules.

 

Police have ensured strict implementation of the weekend curfew. Police are also   seeing to it that no one is unnecessarily  travelling except for medical or any other emergency work.
