Mangaluru: Heavy rains flood Pumpwell and Padil underpass

Mangaluru, June 14, 2025: After a brief lull over the past two days, heavy rains resumed on Saturday afternoon, leading to waterlogging at Pumpwell Circle and the Padil railway underpass in Mangaluru, disrupting vehicular movement.

Due to flooding at Pumpwell Circle, traffic has been affected on all surrounding roads. For nearly an hour, smooth flow of vehicles has not been possible, resulting in heavy traffic congestion.

Meanwhile, the main stormwater drains in areas like Ekkur and Jappinamogaru have overflowed, creating a tense situation for nearby residents. The intense downpour has caused water to flow across several roads, leaving motorists struggling to navigate through the flooded streets.
