Mangaluru: Heavy downpour leads to mudslide in Nooyi village

Mangaluru, May 22, 2025: The heavy downpour in the city and surrounding areas since two days has wreaked havoc in Nooyi of Addoor village due to rampant mudslides.

 

A road has been laid here by dumping soil upto a height of 20 feet on the land  near the newly built bridge across Phalguni river in Gurupur. However, the rains led to mud slide with slush  surrounding several houses in the area.

Locals say the problem will not be solved unless the work is done scientifically. Local officials have visited the spot.
