Mangaluru Head Post Office to Offer Services from 8 am to 8 pm

Mangaluru, July 12, 2026: The Department of Posts has extended the working hours of the Mangaluru Head Post Office from 8 am to 8 pm with effect from Monday, aiming to improve customer convenience and access to postal services.

Senior Superintendent of Post Offices Joseph Rodrigues said the Head Post Office, located near Pandeshwar opposite Forum Fiza Mall, will offer services including Speed Post and parcel booking, domestic and international parcel services, Aadhaar enrolment and updation, and Post Office Savings Bank transactions during the extended hours.

Customers can also invest in small savings schemes such as Sukanya Samriddhi Account, National Savings Certificate (NSC), Kisan Vikas Patra (KVP), Monthly Income Scheme (MIS), Senior Citizens Savings Scheme (SCSS), Time Deposits (TD), Public Provident Fund (PPF), and Pradhan Mantri Jan Suraksha Schemes. However, evening Postal Banking services will not be available for SAS/MPKBY agents.

A dedicated International Booking Counter has also been set up to assist customers with customs documentation for overseas parcel bookings. Exporters and online sellers can avail themselves of Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra (DNK) services for dispatching export parcels and e-commerce shipments.

The department has also announced that Aadhaar services, Speed Post and parcel booking facilities will be available on Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm at the Mangaluru Head Post Office for the benefit of working professionals and the general public.
