Mangaluru: Government PU College toppers felicitated for second PU results

Mangaluru, Apr 23, 2026: Students from government pre-university colleges in the district who secured top marks in the Second PU examinations this academic year were felicitated at a function held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Darshan H.V. said that students from government colleges have brought pride to their parents and institutions through their achievements. He noted that family support plays a key role in students’ success and advised them to pursue education with dedication rather than chasing money, adding that financial success would follow knowledge. He also lauded the students for excelling despite limited facilities in government colleges.

Details of Felicitated Students:
In the Arts stream, Sushmita from Government PU College, Puttur, scored 582 marks. In Commerce, Neha M.D. from Government PU College, Puttur, and Daksha from Government PU College, Vamadapadavu, scored 591 marks each, while Manvika from Government PU College, Balmatta, secured 589 marks. In the Science stream, Pavithra S.P. from Government PU College, Puttur, scored 586 marks, and Satvi Baliga from Government PU College, Punjalkatte, secured 583 marks.

Principals Honoured:
Principals of Government PU Colleges in Bellare, Guttigaru, Koyyuru, and Ivarnadu Nalyapadavu, which recorded 100% results in the Second PU examinations, were also honoured on the occasion.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Raju K., Deputy Director of Pre-University Education Rajeshwari, and other officials were present.
