Mangaluru: Ganesha Chaturthi holiday on Sept 19 in DK

Mangaluru, Sep 14, 2023: The confusion over Ganesha Chaturthi holiday has ended with the DK District in-charge Minister Dinesh Gundurao directing the Chief Secretary of the state government as well as the Deputy Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada to declare holiday on September 19 instead of September 18.

 

Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker and Mangaluru (Ullal) MLA U.T Khader, played a crucial role in advocating for this alteration of the holiday date.
