Mangaluru: Father arrested for raping daughter, remanded to judicial custody

Mangaluru, Nov 1, 2025: A POCSO case has been registered at the Dakshina Kannada Women’s Police Station against a man accused of sexually assaulting his own daughter.

The accused has been identified as Abdul Hanif, who has been arrested.

A case (Crime No. 80/2025) has been registered under Sections 64(2)(f)(m), 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, and Sections 5(l)(n) and 6 of the POCSO Act.

The accused was produced before the court, which has remanded him to judicial custody.
