Mangaluru, Apr 8, 2026: A reputed educational institution in the city has issued a strong warning against the misuse of its name, stating that strict legal action will be taken against offenders.

The institution, known for its work in pre-university education and competitive exam coaching, said it has received complaints about unauthorised centres operating under similar names. Addressing the issue, Chairman Narendra L. Nayak clarified that the institution is registered under the Trade Marks Act, 1999, and operates only from its official centres in Mangaluru.

He stated that the group runs several units including PU College, Publishing House, Coaching Classes, Postal Coaching, E-Learning, and Edufront Private Limited, all based in Valachil and Kodialbail areas of the city. The institution does not have any branches or franchise centres elsewhere in the state.

However, it has come to the management’s notice that some educational institutions in different parts of the state are using similar names such as “Expert” and “New Expert” to attract students. The management has categorically stated that such entities have no affiliation with the Mangaluru-based institution.

Issuing an appeal, the Chairman urged parents and students to remain vigilant, noting that such misleading names could create confusion and lead to wrong choices in education.

He further clarified that the institution will not be responsible for any consequences arising from admissions or dealings with unauthorised centres. Warning of strict legal measures, he said action will be initiated under the Trade Marks Act against anyone misusing the institution’s name, logo, or falsely claiming association.
