Mangaluru : Drunk man climbs electric pole at PM Rao Road

Mangaluru, Dec 30, 2014:  There was chaos at the Panje Mangesh Rao Road in the city on December 29, Monday  when a man who was reportedly drunk climbed an electric pole for some unknown reason.

It  has been gathered that  the man who was from some other town had come to the city but was robbed of his money by someone. It is learnt, in a state of despair, he had consumed alcohol and then climbed the electric pole.

People who noticed him atop the electric pole, informed the MESCO< which cut off power supply to ensure that the man was not electrocuted.

The MESCOM staff who arrived somehow managed to get him down and he was later taken to the Wenlock Hospital for a medical examination.
