Mangaluru police, along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), conducted a thorough search of the court premises and nearby areas but found no suspicious objects. Officials later confirmed the threat was a false alarm, describing it as a deliberate attempt to cause fear and disrupt judicial proceedings.

Preliminary investigation has traced the email to the ID rajagiri_marudhayan@outlook.com. xA case has been registered at Mangaluru North (Bunder) police station, and efforts are underway to identify the sender.

“We are treating the matter very seriously. Even though it turned out to be a hoax, such threats compromise public safety and the functioning of institutions,” a senior police officer said, adding that strict action will be taken against the culprit.

Police have assured citizens that security has been stepped up and urged the public not to panic. The incident has also led to a review of email monitoring and emergency response measures at key public institutions in Mangaluru.
