Mangaluru: Decomposed body found near Kulshekar church

Mangaluru, May 07, 2025:: The decomposed body of an old man was discovered behind a shop near Kulshekar Church on May 06,2025

The deceased has been identified as Surendra, aged 46, a resident of Shaktinagar. According to sources, he suffered from epilepsy and was often seen collecting scrap in the area.

The body was found in an advanced state of decomposition near a toilet behind the shop. Kadri Police rushed to the scene, and Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Pratap Simha Thorat conducted an on-site inspection.

While the exact cause of death remains unclear, authorities have sent the body for postmortem examination. Further investigations are underway to determine whether foul play was involved.
