Mangaluru, Oct. 11, 2026: The Mangaluru city police have announced traffic diversions and parking restrictions around Sri Gokarnanatheshwara Temple in Kudroli from October 11 to 21 in view of the Mangaluru Dasara festivities.
With large numbers of devotees and dignitaries expected to visit the temple daily from 4 pm onwards, traffic congestion is likely along Kulur Ferry Road. The police have identified Car Street Balaji Junction, New Chitra Junction, Alake Bridge, the Kudroli temple entrance, Durgamahal Junction and Mannagudda Junction as potential traffic bottlenecks.

To ease congestion, vehicles travelling from Kottara Chowki towards Car Street have been advised to take the Lalbagh–PVS–Navabharath route. Vehicles heading from Car Street towards Kulur Ferry Road should use the Navabharath–PVS route.
Parking will be prohibited on both sides of Kulur Ferry Road, from New Chitra Junction to Ladyhill, as well as on all connecting roads along the stretch.
The police have urged motorists to park only in designated areas and follow the instructions of traffic personnel deployed on duty to ensure smooth traffic movement during the festivities.
