Mangaluru: Court acquits POCSO case accused

Mangaluru, Aug 11, 2023: A man from Ullal who was facing charges under POCSO for sexually harassing a minor, has been acquitted by the Additional District and Sessions Court, as the prosecution failed to prove the charges against the man.

 

The man who has been acquitted is Nawaz Ullal. The police had filed a charge sheet in this case stating that the investigations had proved that the accused had sexually abused the girl.

However the court which heard the arguments from both sides concluded that the charges against the accused have not been proved and acquitted him.
