Mangaluru: Congress workers detained during protest against Rahul, Priyanka Gandhi’s detention

Mangaluru, Jul 22, 2026: Congress workers staged a protest in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue at Lalbagh on MG Road on Wednesday, condemning the detention of Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi by the Delhi Police.

The protest was held following the directions of KPCC President B.K. Hariprasad. After the demonstration, the protesters attempted to march towards the BJP office at PVS.

Police stopped the march and detained the protesting Congress workers. During the protest, the demonstrators raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Central government, expressing their anger over the detention of the Congress leaders.
