Mangaluru: Class 6 student dies after battling pneumonia

Mangaluru, Aug 6, 2026: A 12-year-old schoolgirl from Kandavara, who had been battling pneumonia for the past week, passed away on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Rithi (12), a Class 6 student of Bethany CBSE School in Kinnikambla, near Kaikamba in Gurupura. She was the daughter of photographer Deepak Kotian and Jayashree.

Her untimely demise has left her family, friends, and the school community in mourning.
