Mangaluru: Class 10 student dies after collapsing while playing volleyball at school

Mangaluru, Aug 6, 2026: A Class 10 student died after suddenly collapsing while playing volleyball with his friends at the Government High School in Kote, near Surathkal, on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Likhith Amin (15), son of autorickshaw driver Madhav Amin of Bollaru.

According to reports, Likhith suddenly collapsed during the game. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but despite medical efforts, he could not be saved.

Likhith is survived by his parents and two sisters. The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the school and left his family and the local community in deep shock.
