People expressed anger over the shoddy patchwork recently laid on the highways, questioning, “Where are our tax contributions going?”

“We pay multiple taxes—property tax, road tax, and many others—yet our roads are no better than wells. Nobody questions this. Instead of just trolling on social media, let us come forward and question our elected representatives,” the protesters said.

Students and youth stressed the need to raise strong questions about the city’s road conditions.

Those present at the protest included Karthik Suvarna, Vijith, Denin, Rachel, Radhika, Pooja, and others.
