Mangaluru: Case filed against two Facebook accounts for sharing provocative post

Mangaluru, Oct 23, 2025: A case has been registered at the Kankanady Town Police Station against two Facebook accounts — Nazeer Mangalore and Gandhian Nehruvian Magar — for allegedly sharing a provocative post on the social media platform.

According to police sources, on October 21 at around 3 p.m., while monitoring social media activity, officials noticed that the Facebook account Nazeer Mangalore had shared a 10-second video clip titled “AI video but funny” from the account Gandhian Nehruvian Magar. The post was tagged to users Mumthas Abdul Nelyadka and Mahesh Vikram Hegde.

Police allege that the video was intended to incite hatred among people of different religions and communities. Following this, SI Shivakumar filed a complaint requesting legal action against the two account holders.
