Mangaluru: Bus-shaped bus stop in Gurupura’s Bandasale becomes new attraction

Mangaluru, Jun 15, 2026: A uniquely designed bus stop resembling an actual bus has emerged as a new attraction at Bandasale near Gurupura on the outskirts of Mangaluru city.

Constructed by the V2 Guys Gurupura Youth Group, the bus shelter has been creatively built in the shape of a bus, drawing the attention and admiration of the public. The specially designed Bandasale bus stop has been aesthetically developed, adding a distinctive charm to the locality.

The bus stop was constructed at an estimated cost of around ₹7 lakh. The earlier bus shelter at the site had fallen into disrepair, prompting the youth group to undertake the initiative and provide the area with a modern and appealing waiting facility.
