Mangaluru: BJP spokesperson, Venkatramana Temple trustee Satish M. Prabhu passes away

Mangaluru, Mar 4, 2026: Satish M. Prabhu (60), the Dakshina Kannada district spokesperson of the BJP, passed away on Tuesday.

He reportedly collapsed at his residence near Sanghaniketan and was immediately rushed to Yenepoya Hospital. Doctors, after examination, said he had suffered a brain haemorrhage. He passed away shortly thereafter, sources said.

He is survived by his wife, a son, and a large number of relatives and well-wishers.

Prabhu had served in various capacities, including as Moktesar of Rathabeedi Sri Venkataramana Temple, former president of the Mangaluru City South Mandal, vice-president of the Sarvajanika Ganeshotsava Committee (Sanghaniketan), office-bearer of BJP Yuva Morcha, and was also an active worker of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, among several other organisations.
