Mangaluru: BJP celebrates GST rate reduction with crackers and sweets at Kodialbail

Mangaluru, Sep 22, 2025: Following Prime Minister’s recent decision on a “historic tax reduction,” the revised GST rates came into effect on September 22. The tax rate has been reduced from 28% to 18% and from 12% to 5%.

To celebrate the GST reduction, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a program at 10 am near the party’s district office in Kodialbail.

MP Brijesh Chowta, MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Bhagirathi Murulya, and Umanath Kotian, along with district BJP president Satish Kumpala, party leaders, and former corporators, took part in the celebrations. The event was marked by bursting of crackers and distribution of sweets.
