Mangaluru: Autorickshaw theft accused arrested; vehicle recovered

Mangaluru, December 29, 2025: The Ullal police have arrested a man in connection with the theft of an autorickshaw that was parked on Bhagavathi Road in Chota Mangaluru.

The accused has been identified as Muhammad Shazil (29), a resident of Akkarekere. The stolen autorickshaw has been recovered from his possession.

According to the complaint, Narendra Kumar, a resident of Chota Mangaluru, had parked his autorickshaw outside his house compound on Bhagavathi Road on the night of December 13. He discovered the vehicle missing the next morning and immediately informed the police.

A case was registered on December 19. Following an investigation, the police traced and arrested the accused and recovered the stolen vehicle.
