Mangaluru: Auto driver injured in attack by unidentified person at Bendorewell

Mangaluru, Sep 1, 2025: An auto-rickshaw driver was injured after being attacked by an unidentified person near Bendorewell on Sunday night.

The victim, identified as Basheer, had stopped his vehicle when the assailant confronted him in Beary language and questioned, “Will you inform the police?” A heated exchange led to a scuffle, during which Basheer sustained a stomach injury.

The driver retaliated, forcing the attacker to flee. Basheer was later admitted to a hospital. Kadri police have recorded his statement and registered a case.
