Mangaluru Air Crash: Tributes paid to victims on 15th anniversary of 2010 tragedy

Mangaluru, May 22, 2025: The district administration as well as family members of the victims of the May 22, 2010 Mangaluru Air crash, paid homage to the victims on Thursday on the occasion of the 15th commemoration year of the tragedy that claimed over 150 lives.

 

 

 

 

 

The solemn ceremony was held at the Memorial near Tannirbavi. In-charge Deputy Commissioner Dr Anand, MCC Commissioner Ravichandra Nayak, Panambur ACP K Srikanth, Tahsildar Naveen Kumar and others were present.

The Air India Express flight from Dubai had overshot the runway and crashed at Kenjar while landing on May 22, 2010. Of the total 166 passengers and crew, 158 had lost their lives while eight had survived.
