Mangaluru: Absconding warrant accused arrested after 9 years

Mangaluru, Mar 31, 2026: A man who had been absconding for the past nine years in connection with cases registered at Urwa and Mangaluru North police stations has been arrested.

The accused, Suhan alias Sonu (33), son of late Somayya, a resident of Bira Poojari Compound, Ashok Nagar, Mangaluru, had failed to appear before the court and had been on the run. The court had issued an LPC warrant against him in the Urwa police station case.

He was arrested in Mumbai on March 29, 2026, by a team from Urwa police station comprising ASI Laxman, HC 956 Narayan, PC 3240 Yallalinga, and PC 330 Mohammed Hadi. Police said the accused will be produced before the court.
