Mangaluru: Absconding accused arrested after 14 years

Mangaluru, Feb 4, 2026: Police have arrested an accused who had been absconding for the past 14 years. The arrested person has been identified as Mohammed Sansheer of Mukkacheri, Ullal.

The accused was wanted in connection with Ullal Police Station Crime No. 312/2011 registered under Sections 8(c)(ii) read with 20(b) of the NDPS Act, and in CC No. 1757/2013 before the JMFC II Court. He had remained absconding since the case was registered.

Acting on an LPC warrant issued by the court, the police traced and arrested the accused at Apartment Room No. 07, near Thoib Masjid, Mukkacheri, Ullal. The arrest was made after a gap of 14 years.
