Shilpa was born and raised in Mangalore and immigrated to Australia in 2001. Shilpa studied a Bachelor of Engineering at Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Institute of Technology (NMAMIT) before going on to gain further qualifications in IT. Shilpa is currently an IT consultant for global company, DWS. She has also worked for major telecommunication and finance companies. Shilpa’s experience in the private sector has given her the knowledge to identify issues and seek out real solutions to address them.
Shilpa is also passionate about helping out her community. Shilpa volunteers regularly for various charity organisations. Her community service work has given Shilpa an appreciation for the vital role her local community plays in the lives of many. Shilpa lives in Melbourne with her husband and two sons and like many Australian families is affected by the rising cost of living. Shilpa wants to help families in Wills by providing relief from the rising cost of living.
