Mangalore welcomes New Year on a high note

Mangalore, Jan1, 2013 : The port city of Mangalore welcomed the New Year on a high note. There were celebrations, parties, fun frolic and merriment across the city, in various hotels, clubs and resorts with youngsters dancing to the tunes of foot tapping music and welcoming 2013 with high hopes and aspirations.
Beaches too were thronged by enthusiastic youngsters who wanted to welcome the dawn of the New Year in style. There were celebrations galore at various places too and fire works lit the skies of Mangalore as the clock struck twelve.
The police department had stepped up security arrangements and patrolling had been intensified all through the night.
