Mangalore’s first citizen Mayor Maarla wields the broom in city

Mangalore, Oct 3,2014: In line with PM Modi’s aims for a "Clean India" starting on Gandhi Jayanthi October 2,    Mayor Mahabala Maarla wielded the brrom as an example to the MCC staff and his admirers and citizens commencing cleaning  the Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) building and surroundings early in the morning.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The mayor preceeded this activity with garlanding  Mahatma Gandhi’s statue in the MCC premises.

He was accompanied by deputy mayor Kavitha, Gokulnayak Das, D K Ashok, Vinay Raj and Prakash Salian and others.  Hopefully this will see the start of a clean and green Mangalore.
