Mangalore receives heavy downpour

Mangalore, Feb 17, 2013: Several places in Dakshina Kannada district including Mangalore received heavy downpour since the night of February 16, Saturday. Rains accompanied by thunder and lightning even continued on Sunday morning, bringing down temperature to some extent.

 

The heavy downpour also resulted in water clogging at several low lying areas of the city. Met department sources said a low pressure area formed over Srilankan coast   has resulted in the untimely rainfall.

Several places in interior Karnataka too received rainfall.
