Mangalore: Young woman jumps into Netravathi river with 2 kids

Mangalore, June 19, 2013: In a tragic incident, a young woman from BC Road has ended her life by jumping into the Netravathi river along with her two kids on June 19, Wednesday.

The deceased are Mumtaz (25) and her daughters  Fathima (8) and Khatija (5). She had jumped into the river from the railway bridge. The reason behind her extreme step is not known.

 

 

 

 

Police have recovered a mobile phone and footwear belonging to the three and also a letter near the railway bridge. According to sources, in the letter, Mumtaz  has held herself responsible for her death.

Mumtaz who hails from Belgaum was married to a BC road man who works abroad. She stayed at her husband’s house at BC Road.

Ullal police are conducting the investigations.
